The Roof

After what seems like an eternity, we finally have shingles on the roof.  Cougar Roofing has been playing catch up as the odd spring weather hasn't allowed for a stretch of continuous nice weather to complete other jobs let alone get to our place.  Last Thursday they were able to get a crew out to the house and start shingles.  They were not able to complete the roof but something is better than nothing.  On Saturday of the long weekend we were sitting down for dinner when we heard banging.  When I looked outside there was a ladder propped up against the building.  I popped my head out and the guys were here to at least get the final layer of roof wrap up as it was supposed to rain on Sunday and they didn't want us to have issues.   This was Saturday of the Long Weekend!!!

They should be back this week - weather permitting  - and as soon as the roof is completed we will be able to get the City of Winnipeg Inspector out to hopefully complete the inspection and move this forward.  There possibly is a light at the end of the tunnel.
